Dennis & Leah Brennan
Senior Pastor

 

Dennis, is an Ordained Minister with the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel and recently appointed as Divisional Superintendent serving our Connecticut Foursquare Churches. He and his beautiful wife Leah have been faithful and loyal members of LIFEhouse Church for over 27 years, and Dennis has been a Licensed Minister with the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel for over 24 years. Prior to his appointment as the LIFEhouse Senior Pastor, Dennis was the Assistant Pastor/Youth Pastor; he has led many young people to the Lord, and trained and mentored young adults serving in youth ministry. He has been a keynote speaker at various Foursquare District Youth events, and camps. He has participated in local prison ministries, and was a keynote speaker for a prison program graduation event. Dennis received a Certificate of Recognition from the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel for giving fifteen years of faithful ministry service. Pastor Dennis also participates on a local planning committee of area pastors desiring to work together to reach our surrounding communities. He is also involved in many community outreach activities, and participates in a program for mentoring high school students. 

A veteran and Noncommissioned Officer Honor Graduate of the United States Air Force, Dennis has also had a successful career in business leadership, reaching the senior quality management level in the manufacturing and fabrication industries, overseeing the Quality Systems for several facilities over the past 16 years.

He and his wife of 28 years, Leah, have a home in Oakdale, CT. He enjoys playing tennis, basketball, and just about any other sport others ask him to join in on. His interests include reading books on leadership, team building, church life, the great preachers in history, and studying the Bible daily. Dennis also loves to praise and worship the Lord with other passionate believers!

Dennis is most recognized for having a visible love and appreciation for the Lord and for preaching the Gospel message with a heartfelt, fiery passion. His deepest desire is to see people rescued, and discover God’s great love for them, and connect with the Father, through a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ, and be filled with the Holy Spirit to live a Spirit formed life.

Carrie & Chris Baxter
Directors of LEAP

Chris and Carrie Baxter have been active members of LIFEhouse for fourteen years, twelve of those years serving as the leaders of our LIFEhouse Children’s Ministry. Most recently, Chris and Carrie have been appointed as Directors of LIFEhouse Education Advancement Program (LEAP). 

Chris is a graduate of Providence College with a Bachelor’s Degree in History, received his Master’s in Teaching from Sacred Heart University, and an Administrative Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Connecticut. Chris has had career in education spanning elementary, middle, and high school. He taught history for sixteen years in both the public and private school setting. He is currently in his third year as an assistant principal of a local elementary school. Chris also serves his local community as the president of Montville Little League helping families enjoy America’s favorite pastime.

Carrie earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Providence College in music and a Master’s in Music Education from The Hartt School at the University of Hartford. Shortly after beginning her career in teaching elementary school, Carrie and Chris made the decision for her to be a stay at home mother. Currently, Carrie serves as the secretary on the Montville Board of Education and has been an active member on the board since 2009.

Chris and Carrie have been married for sixteen years and have five beautiful children ranging from first grade to tenth grade. They have a heartfelt desire to empower families to become rooted and grounded in the love of Jesus Christ and to realize their greatest potential within their homes, LIFEhouse Church, and their local communities.

Rose & Brian Butler
Church Elders
 
Brian and Rose Butler have been active members of LIFEhouse Church since 2002.

Brian is an Elder, member of the Worship Team (Bass Guitar), Director of Life Groups, member of the Elder’s Leadership Team, member of the Service Leader’s Team, member of the church Cleaning Team, a past member of the LIFEhouse Church Council, and has facilitated the attendance of LIFEhouse men at the Annual Men’s District Retreat (Man Camp).

Rose is an Elder, and serves as the LIFEhouse Church Administrator, as well as other ministries of Hospitality, Life Group Leader, member of the Elder’s Leadership Team, member of the Service Leader’s Team, Secretary to the LIFEhouse Church Council, member of the church Cleaning Team and has facilitated the attendance of LIFEhouse women at the Annual Women of Faith conference. Known for her sense of humor, down-to-earth nature, and love for people, Rose is the “Joyce Meyers” of LIFEhouse Church.

Brian is a graduate of Southern Connecticut State College with a Bachelor’s of Science Degrees in Biology and Secondary Education. Brian taught science for 7 years at New London High School and has been employed at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals for the past 25 years. In his current role at Pfizer, Brian is a Senior Manager in Corporate Audit which provides independent, Pan-Pfizer corporate regulatory audit and oversight of Pfizer’s processes and systems that encompass research and development, manufacturing, and commercial activities. In the past, Brian served in his local community as a member of the New London Board of Education.

Rose is a graduate of New London High School. She worked in the Regulatory Strategy & Compliance group at Pfizer for 19 years, (retiring in 2011) and now assists in administering LIFEhouse Church daily operations, administrating LIFEhouse Fitness (Zumba), and watching her granddaughter full-time.

Brian and Rose married in 1986 and have two beautiful daughters (Kaitlin & Alyssa) who are committed to serving the youth and various ministries at LIFEhouse Church. Brian and Rose have a fervent desire to see people delivered, developed, deployed, enabled, and equipped, to set in motion a mighty, sweeping spiritual revolution that will turn the tide and reveal to mankind that the glorious gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ offers the basic solutions to every problem facing mankind.

Christine Crandall
Life Group Leader
 
Christine and her husband Matthew have been active members of LIFEhouse church for 6 of the last years, and they have been married for 9 years. Christine got involved with the children’s church, LIFEhouse JR., early on and is still teaching now.
 
She is also joining the worship team and focusing on leading a Life Group. Being part of a Life Group has helped her become closer to God, and she looks forward to encouraging other women and helping them grow as well. Christine stayed home with her children until they were school-aged and is now exploring her job options.
