At LIFEhouse, we stay connected with each other through Life Groups. Life Groups are small groups of people who gather together to share life.

We meet in homes, restaurants and other locations throughout the area on different days and at different times during the week.

Life Groups provide people opportunities to develop new and genuine friendships, to share life’s experiences, and to explore how the Bible relevant to their lives. Joining a Life Group will give you the opportunity to know others and be known, to care and be cared for, and to love and be loved. We encourage you to get plugged into a Life Group today!

S.O.A.P

What is S.O.A.P.?
S.O.A.P. stands for Scripture, Observation, Application and Prayer. It is a way of getting more out of your time in God’s word.

How does it work?
It’s quite simple. When you sit for your daily quiet time read the bible as you normally would with one simple difference. Underline or make note of any verses that jump out at you with special significance. This is the basis for diving deeper and using S.O.A.P.
There are four fields to fill in and I bet you can guess what they are:
  • Scripture : Write in the verse or verses that stuck out to you in your reading.
  • Observation : What did you observe about the scripture that struck you. This can be one sentence or a whole book.
  • Application : How can you apply the observation so that it affects your life today.
  • Prayer : Write out a prayer to God based on what you just learned and ask him to help you apply this truth in you life.

Whether you are just checking things out, are a new believer or have been a Christ-follower for quite a while, you need to keep growing and you need encouragement. You will see how God is actively at work around you as you hear biblical truths discussed and applied in your Life Group. Your faith and your relationship with God and with others will be strengthened.
